French July trade deficit 3.700 bln eur vs revised June 2.375 bln deficit

French provisional, seasonally adjusted trade figures for July showed a deficit of 3.700 bln eur, compared with a revised June deficit of 2.375 bln.
The June figure was initially reported to be 1.681 bln.
The trade balance for the year to date showed a deficit of 16.258 bln eur, compared with the 11.675 bln deficit over the same period last year.
Exports in July totaled 31.696 bln eur, compared with 32.686 bln in June, revised from 35.762 bln.
Imports in July were 35.396 bln eur, compared with 35.061 bln in June, revised from 37.009 bln.
Food products showed a July surplus of 602 mln eur, against a surplus of 804 mln the month before.
Energy trade showed a deficit of 4.239 bln eur, compared with a deficit of 4.012 bln in June.
The industrial balance showed a deficit of 1.188 bln eur, against surplus of 11 mln in June.
Airbus aircraft exports totaled 19 in July valued at 1.113 bln eur, versus 24 in June for 1.331 bln.
Arms exports in July had a surplus of 146 mln eur, against a surplus of 114 mln in June.
France's trade balance with the other members of the EU was a negative 978 mln eur in July, against a negative 690 mln in June.
Trade with other euro zone countries showed a deficit of 1.548 bln eur, against a June deficit of 1.365 bln.
Trade with Germany, France's largest trading partner, had a deficit of 1.083 bln eur, compared with a negative 1.305 bln the month before.
Trade with Japan in June was minus 418 mln eur, against a deficit of 428 mln in June.
Trade with the US gave a deficit of 215 mln eur, versus a deficit of 155 mln in June.
