Italy July industrial output down 0.2 pct year-on-year

Industrial production fell 0.2 pct year-on-year in July both at a gross level and adjusted to the number of working days, the statistics office ISTAT said.
There were 21 working days in both July 2006 and 2005.
On a seasonally-adjusted basis, output fell 0.3 pct in July from June.
Analysts polled by AFX News were expecting industrial production to increase 0.5 pct month-on-month in July, and to rise 2.9 pct year-on-year.
