US ISM non-manufacturing drops to 52.9 from 57.0

Service sector activity in the US seems to be cooling off according to data of September published by the institute Of Supply Managers.The ISM monthly report, which comprises service related companies has fallen in September from 57.0 in August to 52.9 in September. The reading surpassed the experts’ forecasts, whoi advanced a drop to 56.0.According to the report, prices pressure have produced the weakest performance in three years for this services sector. Prices have dropped from 72.4 to 56.7, their weakest reading since the 51.8 seen in July 2003.
